| To assist organisations needing finance to have an energy audit of their facilities completed, EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) has established an energy / design audit grant scheme. These are direct grants to organisations as an incentive to complete an audit by an accredited energy auditor. This scheme will provide a subsidy of 50% of the cost of the energy / design audit up to a maximum of $50,000 for most organisations. There is also a subsidy of up to 100% for the cost scoping studies up to $10,000 for large users (annual energy spend over $1 million). |

|
| For projects that require major capital investment, EECA also offers the Crown Loan Scheme for public sector organisations. This is mainly to assist organisations that are seeking to improve energy efficiency by replacing old inefficient equipment with new efficient equipment or simply installing new equipment to generate energy savings. Up to 100% of the cost of a project can be borrowed and any one organisation may borrow up to $200,000 in any one year. |
